With a commitment to evidence-based dental education, leading-edge research and unparalleled community service, the College of Dentistry has educated dental professionals for more than 112 years and established an international reputation for graduating outstanding clinicians and facilitating pioneering research and treatment modalities.
Offering an incomparable education experience for its students through programs leading to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees and post-graduate certificates, the college ensures its graduates are thoroughly prepared to practice dental medicine and serve as leaders in advancing the field and increasing patient access to oral health care.
With more than 100,000 patient visits annually, the dental college is the single largest provider of oral health care services in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, offering specialized patient care ranging from pediatric dentistry and orthodontics to periodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Serving a vital role in the communities it serves, the college’s impact reaches well beyond its campus near downtown Dallas. Its students and faculty provide care to more than 50,000 indigent, low-income, and medically-compromised adults and children through North Texas hospitals, community-based clinics, nursing homes, health fairs, detention centers, and public schools. More than half of all the dentists in the Dallas/Fort Worth area received their dental education at the college, and nearly one-third of all dentists in the state are Texas A&M College of Dentistry graduates.
The college proudly embraces its responsibility as a national leader in shaping the future of health care delivery, dental education and research to develop a bold new generation of exemplary clinicians, educators and scientists.
